Bartering Opportunities:

You can shop early if you're able to provide one of the following special services. Bartering allows us to keep our costs down and return more money to our consignors.
Bartering your services will not count towards the additional 5% on your sales (security services and preview sale runners are the exception), but will earn you a shop-early pass for the preview sale.
Bartering opportunities may be combined for an even earlier pass.

-Meals:  Provide a light meal (for example: sandwiches, salad, fruit and drinks) for 8 people for lunch or dinner, Wednesday - Sunday 
and earn an 8 hour volunteer pass.

-Bags:  Provide 1 box (at least 200 bags) of 13 gallon draw-string white 
trash bags to earn a 4 hours pass, 2 boxes for an 8 hour pass,
and 3 boxes for a 12 hour pass.    
This bartering option in closed for the 2009 fall sale.

-Preview Sale Runners and Security:  We need you (or your husband) to help carry out larger items during the 2:00pm to 9:00pm (two shifts) time frame on the Thursday preview sale.  You will be assisting shoppers by helping carry large items to their vehicles. 
This qualifies for the additional 5% payout on your sales.

-Phone calls:  You will be assigned a set number of phone calls to verify volunteer shifts or consignor participation. You will earn a 4 hour pass. 

-Flyer distribution:  Distribute fliers to approximately 20 daycares and preschools in your area during a specific date range.  
You will earn a 4 hour pass.

-Security:  Loan us your husband, father, brother to work a 3 hour security shift, and earn a 4 hour pass. Security individual should be outgoing and comfortable speaking to and interacting with shoppers. 
Security workers do qualify for the additional 5% payout on consignor sales.

-Advertising:  Help us get connected with a newspaper, television, or radio station and earn an 8 hour pass.

-Marketing Assitance:  Help us market the sale and get the word out to various groups.  If you are involved with a moms' group or organization and can get us an opportunity to get in front of them to tell them about JBF,
you can earn a 4 hour pass.

-Sign Distribution:  You will be asked to deliver yard signs to various locations.  4 or 8 hour passes will be distributed according to time commitment.
