Please review our What We Accept document for a detailed listing of what we will accept at our Winter sale.
Price: Here is a printable Pricing Guide!
Clothing: Clothing should be priced at a minumum of $3. If a single piece of clothing does not have a $3 value, put multiple onto to a single hanger (i.e. sell as a set) to reach at least $3.
0-24 month clothing should be priced competitively, there is a lot of clothing in this size range.
Clothing 2T and above can be priced slightly higher. Price items for what you would want to pay at a JBF sale. It is highly recommended that clothing items go 50% off on the last day of the sale.
Hangers: Wire (preferred) and plastic tube hangers are accepted. If absolutely necessary, you may use plastic hangers from the store. Please note that these break a lot easier than wire or plastic tube hangers. No swivel or pant (clip) hangers.
Please hang clothes so the hanger hook points to the left (like a question mark). Hang size 0-4 clothing on child-size or adult-size hangers and sizes 5 & up and maternity clothing on adult-size hangers.
Safety Pins: Please use #1 or larger safety pins. No mini safety pins or straight pins, they do not hold the clothing.
Attaching Tags: Tags should be safety pinned to the top right corner of shirts and/or pants. When using a tagging gun, place tag through clothing tag. If there is no tag, place in inside seam of the garment. DO NOT put tagging gun needle through cloth of garment, it will get ruined and pulled from the sale. Items with holes from tagging guns can not be sold. If you are using a tagging gun, please review these guidelines.
Clothing Sets: Sets tend to sell better (under size 6) so match tops and bottoms up if you can. Safety pin to attach clothing sets securely with bottom garment hung on the backside of the shirt at the top of the hanger, so both pieces can be viewed without separating them.
Pants/Shorts/Skirts: Safety pin waist to top of hanger. Safety pins should be closer together than the diagonal portion of the hanger is long, so that the item will not slide around the hanger. Another option is to use dry cleaner hangers with paper. Pinning through the paper will keep pants/shorts/skirts from sliding around the hanger. Please do not use pant hangers (with the clips) - clothing falls off too easily during the event.
TIP: When hanging strappy items or items such as skirts or pants (items that can easily slide around on the hanger), use either dry cleaner hangers with the paper still attached or create a "tab" on either side of the top of the hanger with packing tape to pin the item/s through. This will prevent the item/s from sliding around and bunching up on the hanger.
Onesies: including new-in-package, need to be hung.
Maternity: Please secure tops with safety pins to the hanger since they have a tendency to fall off.
All pants must be pinned at the waist to the top of the hangers so shoppers can see them easily. Pants folded over hangers will not be accepted. Maternity pants only may be hung on pant hangers.
Clothing/Hanging Items:
• Be picky! Look at your clothing items as if you were going to purchase them.
• No stained or damaged items will be accepted.
• Clothing can be no older than five years old; Junior and Maternity no older than three years.
• Freshly launder your clothing items. The newer the item looks (and the better it smells), the better it will sell.
• Replace missing buttons, sew loose hems and seams, and clip loose threads.
• Button all buttons, snap all snaps, zip all zippers before you arrive at drop off. This will ensure that there are no defects in the clothing.
